Originally built in 1959 for Minako "Pat" Kawauchi and her husband Tak, this project has retained the original care and vision while updating the overall architecture. Pat's garden, which was known in the community as overflowing with flowers and beauty, has been meticulously maintained as part of the new (and old) landscape.
In the interior, the design incorporates many wood and natural details that highlight a Japanese sense of craftsmanship. Limewash walls, patina steel and oiled wood finishes accentuate a soft yet contemporary design for the next phase of this home.
